We went for lunch at 「現役大学生の本気餃子屋」, a limited-time pop-up open only during February inside the restaurant “Ashiyagawa Taro” near Hankyu Ashiyagawa Station〜

For the dipping sauce, you can choose special miso sauce & ponzu or vinegar soy sauce〜（This time we went with ponzu!）
↑This lunch-only set came with gyoza, multigrain rice, salad, and shibazuke pickles!
↑Their carefully made gyoza uses no garlic! That makes it easy to enjoy even at lunch〜
↑These gyoza have wrappers with a crisp yet chewy texture, filled with a generous vegetable-packed filling〜
↑They contain shiso leaves, giving them a slightly Japanese-style feel and a refreshing flavor!

The place is run by a kind, modern young man from the School of Economics at Kwansei Gakuin University. In addition to set meals, they also have several à la carte dishes.
This time, we had the mapo tofu and fried rice set meal, the gyoza set meal, and an order of gyoza on its own.
The flavors were straightforward and well-balanced, with no strange quirks. The mapo tofu had plenty of minced meat, and the gyoza had thicker wrappers with a chewy texture. Even our 2-year-old loved the gyoza and ate them happily.
For payment, we chose PayPay transfer by entering the phone number. It came to 2,170 yen.
The shop is usually operated as a pop-up inside Taro, and the interior is gorgeous. It’s a 5-minute walk from Hankyu Ashiyagawa.
Lots of people stopped to look at the sign in front of the shop. Now that it’s been featured on Ashiya Tsushin, it’s sure to get busy!!
Since one student is running everything by himself, even if it takes a little time for the food to come out, please be patient and wait warmly. The food is consistently good and delicious!!
