Just outside the south exit of JR Ashiya Station, two prefab buildings had been put up.

↑ Two prefab buildings suddenly appeared on the vacant lot on the west side after exiting the station’s south exit.
↑ This is the location we introduced in the article above. According to the construction plan sign, it looks like a retail shop is going to be built here.

↑ The prefab on the right as you face them. There appears to be a large glass door? on the front.

↑ The prefab on the left as you face them. This one seems wider and larger.
Here’s the map↓
The address is around 1-8 Funadocho, Ashiya City, Hyogo Prefecture.
Area Around the Prefabs

↑ If you go this way, to the east, you’ll immediately reach the south exit of JR Ashiya Station.

↑ If you go the other way, to the west, you’ll find places such as the restaurant “Ashiya Glass.” The road passes along the north side of Ashiya Civic Center (Luna Hall) and leads to Narihira Sakura-dori along the Ashiya River.

↑ Across the street, there are places such as the prepared foods shop “Aranishi,” the okonomiyaki restaurant “Guzu,” and the dance school “Ballroom Dance Harukaze.”
Final Thoughts
We’d heard it was going to be a single-story retail shop, but who would have expected two prefab buildings to go up! What a surprise! It looked like construction was fully underway, but what kinds of shops will end up in each building? We’re curious…!
