The Taiwanese cafe “Taiwan Ten Shoten Ashiya Mont et Mer”, located on the 3rd floor of the West Building of “Mont et Mer,” the shopping mall directly connected to JR Ashiya Station, had closed as of November 6.

↑The spot where “Taiwan Ten Shoten” used to be. It was blocked off with white curtains and walls.

↑There’s also a label on the restaurant directory saying it has closed.
Quoted from the Mont et Mer floor guide
↑It’s the spot marked “COMING SOON” near the entrance to the West Building on the left side of the map.
Here’s the map for Mont et Mer↓
The address is 1-31 Funadocho, Ashiya City, Hyogo Prefecture.
Finally
It’s sad to see “Taiwan Ten Shoten,” which served Taiwanese dishes like tapioca tea, Taiwanese castella, and lu rou fan, close down…! “Yifang,” which was in Laporte across from Mont et Mer, has also closed, so there are far fewer tapioca tea shops now. So sad…
Since it’s in a very visible location directly connected to the station, I’m sure a new shop will move in soon. I’ll keep an eye out to see what kind of shop opens there!
