We picked up some sashimi from “Ashiya Beniya,” a fresh fish and prepared food shop run by a Japanese cuisine chef, which has been in pre-opening since November 9 along Miyagawa Keyaki-dori!
“Banshu Salmon” and “Satsuma Sweet Shrimp Kobujime”

From the left: “Hyogo Murotsu Banshu Salmon” 100g, 1,080 yen, and “Kagoshima Satsuma Sweet Shrimp Kobujime” 50g, 864 yen (all prices include tax)
The sashimi also comes with condiments like soy sauce and wasabi!

↑ The “Banshu Salmon” is apparently Tatsuno City’s first local salmon brand, farmed off the coast of Murotsu! Domestic salmon sashimi feels so luxurious!

↑ It has plenty of rich fat, but somehow it doesn’t feel heavy at all! They also recommend enjoying it as a marinade, not just as sashimi.

↑ This is kobujime made with “takaebi,” known as Satsuma sweet shrimp. Compared with regular sweet shrimp, it’s incredibly big! And the flavor is sweet, thick, and rich! The sweetness fills your whole mouth!
Store Information for “Ashiya Beniya”

↑ The shop is located along Miyagawa Keyaki-dori, just a little north of the Ikari Ashiya supermarket.

↑ The showcase is lined with carefully selected fish chosen by a trained Japanese cuisine chef. The fish is sourced from local Hyogo, as well as Toyosu and Kagoshima fishing ports, and they slice it for sashimi after you place your order!

↑ For now, it’s takeout only, but there were three counter seats inside the shop. You can sit here while your sashimi is being prepared.
