We tried the “cream puffs that engage all five senses” at cream puff specialty shop “5/5 gobun no go Ashiya”, which opened on October 14 on the 1st floor of the East Building of Laporte, the shopping mall directly connected to JR Ashiya Station!
Cream puffs from “5/5 gobun no go Ashiya”

From left: “Cassis Marron” 367 yen, “Burnt Caramel” 367 yen, and “Pure Fresh Cream” 302 yen (all prices include tax)
The boxes and paper bags are black, giving them a really premium feel!

↑ The “Pure Fresh Cream” is a cream puff made with Danish pastry, filled with carefully selected fresh cream and milk jam slowly cooked by hand for 2 hours!

↑ The combination of smooth, fluffy fresh cream, crispy Danish pastry, and crunchy coarse sugar makes this classic fresh cream puff feel truly unique!

↑ The “Burnt Caramel” contains homemade caramel paste, and is topped with walnuts and hazelnuts that have been deeply roasted and caramelized with coarse sugar!

↑ The silky elegantly sweet caramel paste pairs perfectly with the slightly bitter nuts and caramelized topping on the surface, making it a fantastic match for the Danish pastry!

↑ The “Cassis Marron” is a cream puff made with French marron paste with a sugar content of 60 degrees, and topped with freeze-dried cassis powder!

↑ The rich marron cream has a subtle hint of rum! Combined with the tartness of cassis, it has a wonderfully sophisticated flavor!
All of the cream puffs are elegantly petite, making them just right as a teatime gift!

↑ They were also selling a 10-piece set to celebrate the opening!
