It looks like “Imo Pippi. Ashiya,” a takeout specialty shop for sweet potato desserts located on the basement 1st floor of the East Building of “Laporte,” the shopping mall directly connected to JR Ashiya Station, will close on Monday, August 15.

↑ The closure notice posted on the shop’s wall

The shop’s signature item is “Goku-mitsu Jukusei Yaki-imo”, made with sweet potatoes aged for more than three months and with a sugar content of over 50 degrees. They also sell arranged roasted sweet potatoes with honey butter or ice cream, brulee-style roasted sweet potatoes, and sweet potato desserts such as freshly piped purple sweet potato Mont Blanc ice cream.

Lastly
It’s a shame to see it close about five months after opening… Before it closes, why not try the “Goku-mitsu Jukusei Yaki-imo” or Mont Blanc ice cream at least once〜
