Tomorrow, July 23 (Sat), is the day of the “44th Ashiya Summer Carnival”!

The event will be held at Ashiya City General Park, Shio-Ashiya Green Space, and Shio-Ashiya Beach.

Fireworks are scheduled to start at 19:45

The main event, the “Ashiya Dancing Fireworks Show,” will be held from 19:45 to 20:30, with around 6,000 fireworks set to be launched. When the time comes, you might even be able to see them from home!?
Also, the fireworks will be quite loud, so if you live with pets, please be careful so they don’t get startled and run off!

↑The Ashiya Summer Carnival in 2019
Unlike previous years, this year attractions that draw crowds, such as festival stalls, have been canceled, and only the fireworks show and citizens’ stage performances will be held.
Also, sponsor tickets are required to watch the fireworks at the venue, and there will be no free viewing area inside the park.
Traffic restrictions will be in place around the city from 15:00 on the day

On the day of the event, traffic restrictions will begin at 15:00 on Hamakaze Ohashi Bridge and in Kaiyocho, Minamihamacho, and Suzukazecho. In addition, from 18:00, traffic restrictions will also be in place on the north-south road from in front of Ashiya Police Station and at various locations in the Minami-Ashiyahama area.
