I bought and tried an ekiben at Awajiya, a bento shop that opened on May 11 on the basement 1st floor of Daimaru Ashiya, the department store directly connected to JR Ashiya Station.

↑With sides like potatoes, green beans, and mushrooms, it’s very satisfying!
↑The sukiyaki includes shirataki noodles, carrots, and green onions.
↑The sweet-and-savory seasoning really makes the rice go down easily.
↑Eating an ekiben with water like this, the kind you don’t usually see at convenience stores, somehow gives it a travel vibe, doesn’t it? Even while staying in Ashiya, I felt like I was on a Shinkansen trip!
