The “Montebello Rose Garden” inside Iwagahira Park is right at its best now!

↑ The entrance to Montebello Rose Garden.

↑ Apparently, this rose garden was opened to commemorate the friendship and goodwill between Ashiya City and its sister city, Montebello in California, USA.

↑ Inside the garden, there are red roses…

↑ pink roses

↑ purple roses!

↑ There are also white and yellow roses.

↑ Compared with Osaka’s Nakanoshima or Utsubo Park, it’s a smaller rose garden, but many unique varieties are in bloom.

↑ There are still plenty of buds, so it looks like the roses can be enjoyed for quite a while.

Even just taking a quick walk through the garden, the lovely scent of roses is so soothing!

We visited on a sunny Sunday, and local residents were stopping by one after another to enjoy the roses!
People were taking photos, admiring the flowers at a leisurely pace, and it also seems to be a walking route for dogs.
