It looks like a three-story building with retail shops will be built just north of the plaza in front of Hankyu Ashiyagawa Station.
(This information was provided by Busa. Thank you!)

↑ A look at the construction site.
↑ This is the former site of the Luna Ashiyagawa Building, which used to house the French restaurant “Ashiyagawa Mouton d’Or.”

↑ According to the construction plan sign, a three-story steel-frame building will be built and used for “stores engaged in retail sales, etc.”
Here it is on the map ↓
The address is 11-18 Nishiyamacho, Ashiya City, Hyogo Prefecture.
Area Around the Planned Construction Site

↑ If you head this way (north), you’ll find “Cafe I do” next door, and beyond that there are a parking lot, the hair salon “CROSS Ashiya,” and more.

If you go the other way (south), you’ll come out at the plaza in front of Ashiyagawa Station.

↑ The view from the pedestrian bridge on the north side of Hankyu Ashiyagawa Station. It’s beyond the public restroom, behind “Chambre Ashiya,” the building that houses “Nada Gakushuin.”
Final Thoughts
It’s in a great location right by the station, so we’re already looking forward to seeing what kind of shops will move in! It feels like it’s going to be a pretty stylish building.
※ Busa, thank you for the tip!!
