We tried the half-and-half at Simca, a curry and hayashi rice shop open only at lunchtime since January 27 inside the Italian restaurant Innocente near Hankyu Ashiyagawa Station!
Simca’s “Half Curry & Hayashi Rice”

“Half Curry & Hayashi Rice” 1,000 yen (tax included)
The hayashi rice is on the left, and the curry is on the right. Apparently, both are made using the Bolognese sauce from Innocente, the Italian restaurant that operates here in the evening!

The curry is very rich and deep in flavor, with a mild level of spice!
It’s packed with chunky pieces of Tajima beef, so it’s really satisfying!

The hayashi rice is rich, but you can really taste the bright acidity of the tomato, making it feel refreshing!
Both are too good to choose between, so the half-and-half is definitely the right answer! At least that’s what I think! (It’s also nice that they’re all the same price.)

↑ It also comes with homemade pickles! There are all kinds of vegetables, and they’re fun and crunchy!
Simca’s Menu

“Curry,” “Hayashi Rice,” and “Half-and-Half” are all served for 1,000 yen (tax included)!
Takeout is also available!
