At the “Spring Bread and Sweets Festival,” running until Tuesday, March 1 on the 3rd floor of Mont et Mer, the shopping mall directly connected to JR Ashiya Station, we found a super photogenic cake in a can, so we tried it!
“CAN Cake Luxury Strawberry” from “京花果茶 圓en”

“CAN Cake Luxury Strawberry” 990 yen (tax included)
The packaging has a flamingo-patterned label and looks so stylish!

↑ You can see the strawberry slices through the side of the clear can. So photogenic!

↑ The bottom is clear too! You can see the strawberry sauce and sponge cake.

↑ Then, when you open the pull tab on top…

↑ It’s packed with whipped cream!

↑ It comes with a spoon when you buy it, so you can eat it right away.

↑ Take a big, generous spoonful and have a bite! Such a mood-lifter!

↑ Cream, strawberries, sponge cake… the classic flavor of strawberry shortcake is packed tightly into this can!

↑ At first glance, I wondered if it might be a lot, but both the cream and sponge were light, so it was surprisingly easy to finish. It felt just right for a snack.
The maker and seller, “京花果茶 圓en,” is apparently a shop in Kyoto offering house-made drinks and sweets.
