We had toast and Japanese black tea at the cafe “茶と菓と いい日,” which just opened on January 11!
“Raw Honey Toast” and Japanese black tea “Benifuuki” at “茶と菓と いい日”

Left: “Japanese black tea Benifuuki (Shiga)” 700 yen (tax included)
Right: “Raw Honey Toast” 650 yen (tax included)

↑ This toast is topped with unheated “raw honey (wildflower)” and butter!

It was covered with plenty of raw honey that had no harsh aftertaste and a gentle sweetness. Pure happiness!

↑ It also comes with yogurt with raw honey!

↑ The tea is served in original teaware with a Chinese tea feel.

↑ The tea leaves before brewing. The “Benifuuki” from Shiga Prefecture had little astringency, a bright aroma, and was an easy-to-drink Japanese black tea.

↑ The tea leaves are placed in a lidded tea bowl. Once the steeping time is up, you slide the lid slightly and pour everything into the spouted tea bowl, then pour it from there into the drinking cup.
You can enjoy how the flavor changes from the first brew to the second and third!

↑ The shop’s logo is on the bottom (underside) of the original teaware! Such a nice detail.

↑ The staff also kindly served us “Akachan Bancha”! It’s a spring bancha with no bitterness or strongクセ, making it very easy to drink.
