We visited the fifth shrine in the New Year shrine visit stamp rally “Ashiya Mutsumi no Miya Mairi,” which takes you around six shrines in Ashiya: Aho Tenjinsha, located near JR Ashiya Station!

↑ It has an urban feel, close to the station and with plenty of parking.
Here’s the map↓
The address is 7-11 Kamimiyagawa-cho, Ashiya City, Hyogo Prefecture.
Inside the Grounds of Aho Tenjinsha

↑ A stone monument listing the enshrined deities and other details
The enshrined deities are Prince Abo, Lord Ariwara no Narihira, and Lord Sugawara no Michizane. The shrine is said to bring blessings for academic success, improvement in martial arts, and recovery from illness.

↑ The front torii gate and main shrine building. It’s fairly compact, but there’s also an Inari shrine on the left-hand side.
The “Ashiya Mutsumi no Miya Mairi” Stamp

↑ The stamp was placed in front of the main shrine building, on the left-hand side as you face it.

↑ The stamp features Prince Abo!
Finally
This shrine is just south of JR Ashiya Station, making it a very easy place to visit!
Now then, which shrine will be the final stop in our “Ashiya Mutsumi no Miya Mairi” series? Stay tuned!
