It looks like “Green Yard,” a fresh pasta and sweets shop, is set to open this August near JR Ashiya Station along National Route 2.

It’s a new brand from “RYU・RYU,” a pasta specialty restaurant founded in Ashiya with branches across the Kansai area. They’re apparently going to make fresh pasta such as fettuccine and linguine from flour in-house and serve it fresh.
We went to check out the planned opening site, which is currently under construction!
I was surprised by how much bigger the building was than I expected!
It looks like the shop will be on the first floor, with offices on the second floor.

What’s around “Green Yard”
To the west, next door on the right side of the photo, is a motorcycle specialty shop called “阪本商店.”
If you head this way, west, you’ll find “Royal Host Ashiya” on the corner after crossing “Miyagawa Jizo-dori” beyond 阪本商店, and the Miyagawa River is just past that.
If you go in the opposite direction, east, you’ll find Ashiya Animal Hospital.
Lastly
With this being a new brand from the well-known “RYU・RYU,” and in such a large shop too, expectations are definitely high! In Ashiya, affiliated shops “space R” and “come come” are currently operating in Chayanocho. Will the new shop sell zakka goods as well? We’re looking forward to its opening in August.
