I went for a yakiniku lunch at “Ashiya Yakiniku Yui,” a yakiniku restaurant on Miyagawa Keyaki-dori, across from “Ikari Ashiya”!
The “Harami Set” at “Ashiya Yakiniku Yui”
“Harami Set” 1,400 yen (tax included)
The set menu comes with rice, soup, kimchi, namul, and dessert!
And guess what! As a special treat from the restaurant that day, I got not only “harami” but also “rump”!
Rump is apparently a lean cut from around the cow’s lower back to the rear!
As usual, I was having solo yakiniku at the counter, so I grilled everything at my own pace.
There were three kinds of dipping sauce: one with grated daikon, a slightly spicy one, and a lighter, refreshing one!
The harami was tender, with just the right amount of fat, yet still easy to eat and not too heavy♪
The rump was also tender with a nice bit of bounce, and it was really satisfying!
With kimchi and namul included too, the rice just kept disappearing!
The dessert at the end was vanilla ice cream! It left my mouth cool and refreshed♪
