We previously reported that a “Welcia Pharmacy” might be opening at the former “Kappo Otowa” site along National Route 2 in Kusunoki-cho, but it looks like the building owner has changed.
(Thanks to Edamame-san for the tip!)

The “building owner” field has changed from “Welcia Pharmacy Co., Ltd.” to “JCR Pharmaceuticals Co., Ltd.”!

Speaking of “JCR Pharmaceuticals,” it’s a pharmaceutical company headquartered in Ashiya City, and it also manufactures bulk solution for COVID-19 vaccines under contract from the British company “AstraZeneca.”
The purpose of the new building is listed as “offices and retail stores”, but since “JCR Pharmaceuticals” is a pharmaceutical company and likely doesn’t operate retail stores for consumers, it seems likely that the upper floors will be used as offices while the first floor will be leased out to some tenant.
What kind of shop will it be…? We’re curious!

The address is 11-19 Kusunoki-cho, Ashiya City, Hyogo Prefecture.
