I got some financiers to go from 菓子屋 月ノ葉, a pastry shop and cafe that opened on October 1 along Inariyama Line, north of Hanshin Uchide Station.
The “Financiers” from 菓子屋 月ノ葉

↑They come wrapped in a stylish box and ribbon!

“Financiers (8 pieces)” 1,700 yen (tax included)
You can choose any 8 flavors you like from a lineup of 16.
This time, I picked these 8: chestnut, Earl Grey, nuts, rum raisin, plain, hojicha roasted green tea, white miso, and truffle!

Every flavor is moist, rich, refined, and unique!

They’re on the smaller side, but I’d say they’re the kind of sweets you want to savor one by one rather than just snack on quickly.

These are financiers you’ll want to eat slowly, one bite at a time, with your eyes closed as you take in the depth of each flavor.
Personally, I especially liked the sweet-and-savory “white miso” flavor!
Menu at 菓子屋 月ノ葉

For takeout, they offer three items: terrine chocolat, Basque cheesecake, and financiers. For eat-in, they also have parfaits.

The Basque cheesecakes came in four varieties: plain, black sesame, cafe latte, and a seasonal flavor.

In addition to the financiers I bought, they also had a lineup of distinctive flavors such as “Cheese & Pepper,” “Semi-Dried Tomato,” “Honey Lemon,” and “Black Soybean”!
